Plenty of Stork-billed Kingfisher were sighted perching along the riverside. We also sighted a Ruddy Kingfisher at one of the smaller river tributaries. It was quick to disappear into the thick mangrove forest as our boat came near.
Oriental Pied Hornbill
Disturbed by our appearance as the boat drew nearer to the tree it was perching, it flew overhead, which made a great photo opportunity as compared to those crissed-crossed tree branches. Common resident.
As our boat cruised slowly along the river, birds perching on trees along the bank of Sungai Paka were flushed out, creating great photo opportunities.
Common Flameback - Male
Two tiny bullets shot across the river. Probably not worth a shot, but at least good enough details to be able to identify the specie. :)
A lone creature enjoying the morning with a breakfast of leaves on a tall tree.
White handed Gibbon
Regardless we were very far away on a boat on a river, the gibbon did not like us when it spotted us and quickly came down from the tree canopy and gone from our sight.
"Is it time to wake up?"
